◆Where would be a good area to stay?
Hakata/Tenjin area is the most popular and convenient area with plenty of dining options within walking distance. However, cheap hotels fill up very quickly and the price gets higher as the date approaches, so we recommend making reservations early or checking availability frequently.

◆ What’s the best way to get to the venue?
It depends on where your accommodation is, but generally, taxi is the easiest (but expensive), train is the cheapest.

Taxi:
30-40 minutes by car from the airport/Tenjin/Hakata areas. Fare is approximately ¥6,000. Using the highway (toll ¥630) is a bit faster, but it does not significantly shorten the journey. Specify “West Cycling Gate” as your destination. We recommend using apps “GO” or “DiDi” for taxi reservations (Booking charge is ¥300). When hailing a taxi on the street, cash-only payment may be required in some cases.

Train:
Once you get to 博多 Hakata station, take the JR Kagoshima Line to 香椎 Kashii Station, then change trains to the JR Kashii Line and get off at 西戸崎 Saitazaki Station. Hakata is 2 stops away from the airport by the Airport Subway Line.

It costs only ¥560 from Hakata, a total 40 minutes journey with a transfer. Note that the Kashii Line only runs every 20-30 minutes.

Bus:
Take a 25A/25B/25I bus from the Tenjin Main Post Office[18 East], and get off at Saitozaki Station. The fare is ¥680, and the ride takes about 40 minutes.

Ferry:
Take the Fukuoka Municipal Ferry from the Hakata Port [Terminal1] to Saitozaki.
The fare is ¥450, and the ride takes 15 minutes.

◆How to enter the park?

You can buy a 2-day pass for ¥500 at the gate window.

◆ How to get to the Disc Golf Course?

If you’re taking trains or a ferry (Fukuoka City Ferry), cross the main street in front of the Saitozaki station, walk 50 meters to your right and you'll see the sign and entrance for Uminonakamichi Seaside Park on your left. Enter the gate and proceed about 200 meters till you get to the “West Gate” of Uminonakamichi Seaside Park.

Once you enter the park, walk about 300 meters towards “Play Cafe” and you’ll see the disc golf course!

If you’re driving to the park, park your car at C area of the West Parking Lot and cross the main street towards the West Cycling Center Gate.
